Porsche 992.1 Turbo S
The 992.1 Turbo S received a completely new engine, derived from the 3.0 litre in the Carrera but with the bore increased from 91 to 102 mm. That brings capacity to 3.7 litres and output to 650 ps at 6,750 rpm, with 800 Nm available from just 2,500 rpm. The eight-speed PDK sends it all to four wheels. New are the two VTG turbochargers with variable geometry, mounted as mirror images and spinning in opposite directions, each serving its own cylinder bank. The air intake system was entirely redesigned with twice as many intakes. For the first time on a Turbo, the car also received different wheel sizes front and rear: 20 inches at the front, 21 at the rear.
Fun fact: the 70 ps jump over the 991.2 Turbo S is the largest power increase between two generations in the entire history of the 911 Turbo.
