Ferrari F355 GTS

The Ferrari F355 is the last fully hand-built Ferrari and simultaneously the first to fully embrace modern technology. The 3.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 has five valves per cylinder, a concept taken directly from Ferrari's F1 engine programme of the period. That produced 380 ps at 8,500 rpm and the highest specific power output of any naturally aspirated production car in the world at the time, McLaren F1 included. The GTS has a removable hardtop roof that stows behind the seats.

This example is finished in Rosso Corsa, delivered in July 1996, and is an M5.2 Motronic car with a smoother throttle response and a more refined idle than the early M2.7 examples. The first owner had the car maintained at Michelotto in Padova, the Ferrari-specialist race team that developed and built the F355 Challenge race car. The belts were renewed in 2012 by Zeta Service in Modena. Since then the car has been maintained in Belgium, most recently in 2023 at Service Francorchamps.

Fun fact: the flying buttresses at the rear of the GTS are the last Ferrari production model to feature this styling element. Pininfarina first used them on the Dino 206 GT in 1967.
