The 458 Italia replaced the F430 and represented a generational leap in every respect at its introduction in 2009. The 4.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 with flat-plane crankshaft produces 570 ps at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm through a seven-speed DCT to the rear wheels. At Fiorano the 458 lapped faster than the 430 Scuderia. The aerodynamics generate 360 kg of downforce through active winglets in the front bumper that drop 20 mm at speed. The electronic limited-slip differential and F1-Trac traction control worked more closely together than in any previous Ferrari. This example was delivered new in Belgium. The 458 Italia was the last fully naturally aspirated mid-engined V8 Ferrari before the switch to turbo with the 488 in 2015.

Fun fact: the seven-speed DCT in the 458 was developed by Getrag and was their very first dual-clutch gearbox. The same design was later also used in the Mercedes-AMG SLS.
