The DBS Superleggera carries two names with history. DBS first appeared in 1967, while Superleggera references Carrozzeria Touring, the Italian coachbuilder that worked with Aston Martin in the 1960s to produce some of their lightest cars. The 5.2 litre twin-turbo V12 produces 725 ps and 900 Nm through a ZF eight-speed automatic to the rear wheels. The body consists entirely of carbon fibre panels on a bonded aluminium frame, making the car 72 kg lighter than the DB11 it is based on. The double diffuser and Aeroblade system generate 180 kg of downforce at top speed.
Fun fact: the engine is mounted as low and as far back in the chassis as possible, resulting in a near perfect 50:50 weight distribution between front and rear.
