The 4.4 liter V8 biturbo in the Alpina B5 Touring produces 621 hp. An eight speed Switch Tronic transfers this power to the four wheels with a clear focus on the rear axle. Thanks to a modified suspension and integral active steering the car remains stable at the top speed of 322 kilometers per hour. This setup makes the Touring a functional estate with the mechanical qualities of a supercar.
Nice detail: the cooling system uses three external water coolers and an enlarged intercooler to manage engine heat during sustained high speed driving.
