Thanks to the new independent front suspension, the car feels much more stable and direct than its predecessor. On the exterior, the side pipes and the indicators on the bonnet remain defining features. The interior has been completely modernised with the widescreen dashboard and luxury materials.
Nice detail: Mercedes carried over the door handles and locks unchanged from the original model to preserve that specific mechanical closing sound.
