Ferrari 488 GTB
The Ferrari 488 GTB 70th Anniversary Edition is part of the special series created to celebrate Ferrari’s seventieth anniversary. For this occasion, Maranello designed seventy unique liveries, each inspired by a historically significant model from the brand’s racing and GT heritage. Only one example of each livery was built per model, making this 488 GTB a strictly one-off configuration.
This particular theme pays tribute to the 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione that won the 1956 Tour de France under the hands of Alfonso de Portago. That car is regarded as one of Ferrari’s most important competition machines of the 1950s. Its modern interpretation features Azzurro Dino as the primary colour, complemented by Argento Nürburgring pinstripes as a subtle nod to the original racing scheme. The result is a striking yet refined homage to an icon from Ferrari’s early sporting years.
Inside, the cabin is finished in Inchiostro leather, a richer and finer material well suited to the Tailor Made programme. The diamond stitching on the centre tunnel recalls the detailing found on several period 250 GT competition cars. The theme carries through into the smallest elements, including a tachometer surround and shift paddles painted in the same blue tone as the exterior.
As with all 70th Anniversary models, this car comes with a bespoke Schedoni luggage set consisting of two suitcases, a travel bag, a garment cover and a car cover.
Only one 488 GTB worldwide carries this livery, making this example not only a special configuration but a piece of Ferrari history brought back to life in a contemporary form. A rare opportunity for collectors who understand and appreciate the link between heritage and modern craftsmanship.
